To help revitalize Southwest communities with playgrounds that are accessible by walking, safe and well-maintained, city officials can do the following:
1. Create legislation to support and supply funding to build out playground structures in Southwest Washington as part of its Waterfront development plans, by immediately negotiating an enforceable Community Benefits Plan that requires private developers to match public funds to support the construction of playgrounds in the Southwest community.
2. Disclose details on the internet of any existing enforceable Community Benefits Agreements for the Southwest Community and describe how playground structures and other initiatives for residents figure into such plans.
3. Make a commitment that the residents of Southwest Washington receive equitable funding and programs for a "walkable and livable community" with their sister residents of other Ward 6 communities.
